Description
Wanted to do something special for #150 and judging by the fact that I started crying when I was coloring this I think I made a good choice for subject matter. In addition to redefining the character of Mr. Freeze for the next 15+ years, "Heart of Ice" is still one of the most emotionally effective half hours of superhero animation ever.
Prismacolor markers, colored pencil, and Gouache on 2.5 x 3.5 Bristol ACEO
EDIT: A couple of days after I posted this card, Mr Freeze's voice actor Michael Ansara passed away. This piece was originally intended as a tribute for the episode and his performance in it, but I would like to rededicate it to the memory of the man himself. Some fans will remember him best as Klingon Captain Kang from the Star Trek franchise or as Killer Kane in the Glen Larson version of Buck Rogers, but whatever character you know him as, his performances will live forever just like the icy, tragic villain he helped breathe new life into.

I heard originally his tears would turn into snowflakes
